Mrs. Feldman came to Horizon Specialty Hospital on a ventilator following a removal of a mass pressing on her airway. Upon evaluation, Mrs. Feldman was dependent on facility staff for all daily living tasks, transfers, and was unable to speak.

The exception nursing and therapy team at Horizon Specialty Hospital worked together to devise a personalized treatment plan to address weakness, balance, transfers, provide strategies for achieving independence, and to improve her breathing.
